Target group: Teams
Why team development?
Wherever people work together, there are always misunderstandings, grievances and disputes. Conflicts can severely impair team performance in teams where good cooperation is THE number one success factor. Sometimes these conflicts are so deep-seated that those involved cannot resolve them without outside help. Team development provides valuable help here.
What happens there?
All team members take time to develop a common path to good cooperation. To ensure that, this is successful, we work out a suitable schedule for the team, depending on the status of the current team situation.
Sometimes this is classic coaching, where each team member can explain their position and needs in a safe, confidential and respectful environment. We protect against verbal abuse and help to take joint steps towards understanding each other. To this end, we primarily use solution-focused questioning techniques and interventions and strive for a consensus at the end – i.e. a result that can be supported by all those involved.
A moderated workshop on the topic of “Optimal teamwork” is often a good idea. This is particularly the case if not all team members are convinced that there are existing difficulties. The milestones for successful teamwork are then identified by the participants themselves and concrete steps are worked out to achieve them. In the process, the participants get to know each other better and from a new perspective and mutual appreciation increases.
We intersperse short theoretical inputs from time to time. Especially when a negative and offensive form of communication has manifested itself in the team. In this way, team members learn what effect their way of communicating has on others. Team exercises also help to achieve greater mutual understanding and a common language.
